I wasn’t sure if I simply thought it was cool for personal nostalgic reasons - or if the modern community would like it too - so I decided to test it out at the Denver Modernism Week about a decade ago to gauge interest. I asked for one of the prototype trees before he passed, which delighted my grandfather. ![]() But I grew up with those trees as our holiday centerpieces, it’s the only Christmas tree I knew. He made 2 or 3 prototypes, more for personal use and never sold them to the public.
